Pillars of Creation II x Dionysus

Pillars of Creation II was commissioned following my 2015 exhibition Stretchmarks of the Universe, marking a pivotal moment in the emergence of my practice within Australia’s contemporary art landscape. Conceived as the centrepiece for Dionysus, the headquarters of a leading event management company in Canberra’s creative precinct. The work was designed as a large-scale back-lit installation intended to energise the space and reflect the creative ambition of the organisation.

Measuring 305 × 205 cm, the artwork was realised as a single monolithic panel and delivered through close collaboration with electricians and carpenters to integrate lighting and structure seamlessly into the workplace. Operating as both architectural feature and cultural marker, Pillars of Creation II uses light, scale and abstraction to create a striking visual statement—standing as an enduring symbol of creativity, collaboration and cultural production within the space.
